Katarzyna Żeglicka / Alicja Czyczel: LAYERS

Date: December 12, 2025 - December 13, 2025
Location:

Two performers sit facing each other on a white stage. One performer with short hair and visible tattoos wears a black two-piece outfit and knee pads. The other performer has long dark hair and is topless, draped in a light fabric and white satin trousers. They hold a long white sock between them, with one performer stretching it toward the other’s face in a focused, intimate gesture. Soft pastel fabrics lie scattered around them.

About the show

Experience LAYERS — a bold, queer-feminist performance by Katarzyna Żeglicka & Alicja Czyczel, making its German premiere at Kampnagel, Hamburg. LAYERS is a radical act of imagination: a collage of herstories, utopian visions, bodily practices and non-normative expressions. It weaves together dreams of an anti-capitalist, anti-patriarchal world — anarchist, borderless, and full of possibility. Through movement, sound, light, and sign language, the performance creates a stage narrative where myth, memory and hope meet.
