About the workshop
Blending movement, storytelling, and inclusion, Krystal S. Lowe invites participants to explore the expressive power of dance beyond technical boundaries.
This workshop, led by the Bermuda-born, Wales-based artist, focuses on storytelling through movement, encouraging each participant to use their body as a tool for narrative, emotion, and connection. Drawing from her extensive experience as a dancer, choreographer, writer, and director, Lowe guides participants through exercises that merge creativity, identity, and accessibility — creating a safe and inspiring space for self-expression.
Known for her work that explores intersectional identity, mental health, and empowerment, Krystal S. Lowe integrates accessibility into her artistic practice, often combining British Sign Language, Welsh, and English in her performances. Her approach reflects a deep commitment to inclusivity and the belief that dance is for everyone, regardless of background, experience, or ability.
Lowe’s artistic journey has included performances and collaborations with Ballet Cymru, Citrus Arts, Ransack Dance, Theatr Iolo, The Successors of the Mandingue, and Laku Neg. She currently serves as Associate Artist at Ballet Cymru, Trustee of National Dance Company Wales, and member of Theatre for Young Audiences Cymru.
Following the success of her performance Remarkable Rhythm, presented at CK ZAMEK the previous evening, this workshop continues Lowe’s engagement with Polish audiences as part of the Europe Beyond Access project, supported by the British Council under the UK/Poland Season 2025.
