EBA international laboratory | Oslo – Online – Rovereto
Curated by Kate Marsh and Laila White
The international laboratory curated by Kate Marsh and Laila White took place in Oslo at CODA Dance Festival and in Rovereto at Oriente Occidente between October 2024 and April 2025. Between the two in-person sessions, an online session was hosted by Kampnagel, EBA’s partner in Germany.
The lab focus is exploring the concept of provocation as a topic for discussion. The aim of the curators is to delve into how provocations can stimulate reflection, spark conversations, and challenge our ideas.

A note from the curators about radical access and crip time
This Lab will be informed by a practice of radical access, as a curatorial team we understand that access needs are fluid and may shift. We are committed to making a space where we can all express our needs as they arise and trust that wherever possible they will be met. We also acknowledge that access extends beyond the practical and we want to make sure the way we all come together feels safe, generous and nurturing. As disabled curators Kate and Laila imbed ideas of Crip Time into our thinking and practice. We will create space for each person to access ideas and practice at their own pace and time. We are fully supportive that this means we will need a flexible approach to our schedule and we aim to support artists to rest and take time when they need and that this is part of a crip practice.
